ELECTRICAL TRAINING SCHEDULE
Basic Protective Relay Testing and Maintenance
This course is based on equipment specific testing
& maintenance requirements. Students will learn basic
operating principles and construction of popular basic
protective relays used in industrial and utility systems.
Minimal time is spent on theory in order to allow
more testing time in lab.

Advanced Protective Relay Testing and Maintenance
This course is based on equipment specific testing
& maintenance requirements. Students will learn operating
principles and construction of complex protective
relays used in industrial and utility systems. Vector
analysis will be taught to ensure that students have
the proper knowledge to use phase shift test sets.
Both electromechanical and solid state relays will
be covered. Minimal time will be spent on theory in
order to allow more testing time in lab.

This course is designed to prepare electrical personnel
to troubleshoot from electrical prints at commercial,
industrial and military installations. Students will
begin with one-lines and three-lines, and progress
through schematics. Students may bring examples of
their own facilities prints to use during practical
exercises. Low, medium and high-voltage installations
will be reviewed as requested by students.
